The Maseeraty Program transformed my career path and marked a pivotal juncture in my
professional journey as I transitioned from an academic background in engineering to the
world of finance and investment. Through the Maseeraty program I studied for and passed my
CFA exam. The study period was intensive. Mubadala’s dedicated CFA team made the course
feel easy, but it still required serious dedication and effective time management to ensure that
I was fulfilling my academic and professional commitments. This academic accomplishment
and newfound expertise not only represented a fresh start, but it also opened doors to a world
of possibilities in a new sector, allowing me to apply my knowledge and skills to contribute
effectively to the organization's endeavors. Since then, I’ve had the benefit of exposure to
numerous markets and industries while working on projects related to energy transition,
environment, and life sciences and I’ve acquired valuable new skills with support and
mentorship from my managers and colleagues. This brilliant, transformative journey began
with the Maseeraty Program and for that, I am immensely grateful.

I started my journey as an Analyst trainee in Mubadala, nearly 3 years after graduating
university in 2016. I came into the Maseeraty program after experimenting with a couple of
different roles at Mubadala and elsewhere. These positions were short-lived experiences that in
hindsight served me on my path. These experiences led me to become an investment
professional at Mubadala by way of the Maseeraty program. With the Maseeraty program’s CFA
track, I began an extended period of hard work and passed the rigorous CFA level 1 exam in
2020. That same year, I joined Mubadala’s Life Sciences unit, helping to invest in high quality
companies in the pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and medical technology spaces. In reflecting
on the entirety of my experience, I believe it’s safe to say that Maseeraty and the CFA
experience was just the beginning of my journey. In the four years since, I’ve overcome
challenges that tested my resilience and reinforced my commitment to seeking out what I like
to call golden opportunities. At this point in time, I am keen and eager to see my journey unfold,
and grateful for the world of possibilities, and golden opportunities, that Mubadala offers.
