The Credit and Special Situations platform is comprised of a number of integrated units that invest across a wide range of asset classes, geographies and sectors.
The Credit Investments unit invests primarily in private debt opportunities in a variety of industries and asset classes globally, while the Special Situations unit manages some of the platform’s most strategic relationships, and invests in GP stakes, secondaries, and opportunistic solutions across the capital structure. In addition to managing a number of country specific investment programs, the platform is also home to Mubadala Capital, the alternative asset management subsidiary which manages c. $30 billion in aggregate between its own balance sheet investments and in third-party capital vehicles on behalf of institutional investors across four businesses: Private Equity, Brazil, Venture Capital, and Solutions.

Mubadala’s Credit Investments team invests in private debt opportunities, focusing on direct lending to middle market and large cap companies across a variety of industries and asset classes in North America, Europe and Asia. Since its establishment in 2009, Mubadala’s Credit Investments team has invested in more than 500 transactions and has a solid and consistent track record.

Special Situations
The Special Situations unit manages some of the platform’s most strategic relationships, optimizing the performance of these assets and identifying and executing on proprietary co-investment opportunities sourced from them or other strategic partners. The unit also invests in GP stakes, secondaries, and opportunistic solutions across the capital structure.
