ABU DHABI (UAE) – Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care & Special Needs and Mubadala Investment Company (Mubadala) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to form a joint committee that will provide a framework to explore opportunities, implement a number of joint projects, and develop and improve services in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to empower the development of people of determination and integrate them into society.
The MoU agreement, which was signed by H.E Abdullah Al-Humaidan, Secretary-General of Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care & Special Needs, and Homaid Al Shimmari, Deputy Group CEO and Chief Corporate & Human Capital Officer at Mubadala is aimed at widening the possible areas of cooperation between the two organizations through which a joint committee will visit select Mubadala portfolio of assets to: evaluate the accessibility of workplace facilities and ensure alignment with international occupational health and safety standards for people of determination, provide training workshops at Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care & Special Needs facilities to suit the capabilities and potential candidates of people of determination in line with the needs of Mubadala's assets of trained staff.
Commenting on the MoU, H.E Abdullah Al-Humaidan said: “The MoU agreement demonstrates Zayed Higher Organization’s strategic plan to increase the empowerment of people of determination, develop an educational environment, and offer them diversified employment opportunities in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors, by connecting with all institutions in order to introduce them to people of determination and integrate them within the society.”
The Secretary-General also thanked Mubadala and its leadership for their cooperation with the Organization, which represents a role model for cooperation between government institutions and companies. He stressed the importance of providing support and care from all governmental and private entities for people of determination to help them break isolation, integrate and be an effective part of the society.
