Khaled Al Shamlan Al Marri is the Chief Executive Officer of Real Estate and Infrastructure Investments at Mubadala. In this capacity, he oversees the platform’s business sectors which invest in attractive real estate and infrastructure opportunities to mitigate volatility and achieve financial stability in support of the organization’s wider business ambitions in other sectors. The platform includes three sectors which are Traditional Infrastructure, Digital Infrastructure, and international Real Estate Investments.
Furthermore, Khaled is a member of the Investment Committee at Mubadala. The committee is responsible for shaping the organization's investment policies and guidelines. Additionally, it reviews proposed projects and investments to ensure alignment with Mubadala’s overarching business objectives.
Previously Khaled was the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Disruptive Investments platform at Mubadala, managing a portfolio spanning six continents with interests in multiple sectors and asset classes. In this role, he oversaw multibillion-dollar investment programs alongside a number of global sovereign wealth funds with the ultimate goal of expanding into new jurisdictions and creating unique commercial partnerships.
Khaled began his career with Mubadala in 2005 and has held a number of senior roles within the organization and its portfolio companies, both in Abu Dhabi and Singapore.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Business Administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo, USA.
Board Positions: Khaled is a board member of Mubadala Capital, the $20 billion asset management subsidiary of Mubadala Investment Company.
