Space42

Space42 (ADX: SPACE42) is a UAE-based, AI-powered SpaceTech company that integrates satellite communications, geospatial analytics, and artificial intelligence to serve customers around the world. Operating at the intersection of SatCom, Geospatial, and AI, the company unlocks next-generation value for customers and shareholders alike.

Space42 was established in 2024 through the merger of Bayanat and Yahsat, two companies bringing a combined 60 years of market experience, and its global reach today allows it to address the evolving needs of governments, enterprises, and communities across more than 150 countries, reaching 80% of the world's population.

Space42 comprises two business units, Space Services and Smart Solutions. Space Services focuses on upstream satellite operations for fixed and mobility satellite solutions. Smart Solutions integrates geospatial data acquisition and processing with AI to inform decision-making, enhance situational awareness, and improve operational efficiency, drawing on GIQ, Space42's AI-driven multi-intelligence platform.

Space42 operates six GEO satellites: Al Yah 1, Al Yah 2, Al Yah 3, Thuraya-2, Thuraya-3, and Thuraya-4, the newest addition to the fleet. Two further satellites, Al Yah 4 and Al Yah 5, are due to launch in 2027 and 2028 respectively, extending the company's fixed and mobility satellite coverage. In low Earth orbit, Space42 is advancing the UAE's Earth Observation program through Foresight, the UAE's first synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite program. Five Foresight satellites are already in orbit, with the constellation set to grow to seven as Space42 builds out its SAR Earth Observation capability.

These efforts align with the UAE's National Space Strategy 2031 and UAE National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031. Space42 is committed to strengthening in-country manufacturing, positioning the UAE as a leading provider across the space value chain.
