Enagás is Spain’s leading natural gas transmission company and a global leader in operating LNG regasification terminals. Enagás is a business with close to 50 years of experience and went public in 2002 with an IPO listed on the Madrid stock exchange.
Founded in 1972, and headquartered in Madrid Spain, Enagas has 1,300 employees globally. It has been listed in IBEX 35 since 2002 with 95% free float.
In Spain alone, it operates more than 11,000 km of gas pipelines, three underground storage facilities and six regasification terminals. In addition, Enagas owns a 13.3% stake in DESFA, a company which owns and operates a high pressure network of 1,500 km as well as a regasification terminal in Greece. In the USA, it has a 12.5% stake in Tallgrass Energy, a listed US energy infrastructure company. Other projects are foundations are in Mexico, Chile, and Peru.
With 50 years’ experience, Enagás is an international standard bearer in the development, operation and maintenance of gas infrastructures. It is accredited as an independent TSO by the European Union.
