The final night of the Mubadala Football Tournament, hosted by Mubadala Development Company (Mubadala), concluded on Thursday with the team Gulf Contractors taking the 2014 title.
The week long tournament kicked off last Sunday night with over 200 players battling it out at Zayed Sports City Stadium. Sixteen teams played three intensive nights of round robin football before moving on to two nights of finals playoffs. The Gulf Contractors team won in an exciting final match against Al Karama by a score of 3 - 2.

We are proud of this year’s results and look forward to next year’s tournament,” said Nadine Hassan, Head of Social Development and Partnerships, Mubadala.
“The team and I are very excited to take home the Mubadala Football Tournament title. We all enjoyed playing outdoors at this week’s tournament - it was a great opportunity to compete with other football players from the community and encouraged us to stay active,” said Anis Aldhaleai, captain of Gulf Contractors team.
In the race for the tournament’s third place, Thunder Team defeated Al Fuhood by a score of 5 -4.
