The Galleria on Al Maryah Island and Rosewood Abu Dhabi to Host Chinese Visitor Summit 2014
Supporting the growth of business and leisure opportunities with key Chinese stakeholders, The Galleria on Al Maryah Island will host the forthcoming Chinese Visitor Summit on August 25th and 26th, in partnership with Rosewood Abu Dhabi.
The event will see more than 75 delegates, including top-tier travel buyers and decision makers, engage with key developers and business influencers from across the UAE.
“Al Maryah Island is delighted to play host to the Chinese Visitor Summit,” said Ali Eid AlMheiri, Executive Director, Mubadala Real Estate & Infrastructure. (MREI) “Since opening, we have welcomed a significant number of Chinese visitors by developing strong ties and tailoring offerings such as group tours, special itineraries and our spectacular Chinese New Year celebrations last January. There is clear evidence an increasing number of tourists from China are choosing to travel to the capital and select Al Maryah Island as their lifestyle destination of choice.”
As one of the fastest growing outbound tourism markets and one of focus for Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE, this event supports TCA Abu Dhabi’s objectives of continuing to increase in-bound tourism to the UAE, with more than 13,000 Chinese* visitors arriving in the city in 2014 so far, an increase of 232% in comparison to 2013.
In preparation for the event, The Galleria on Al Maryah Island has been working closely with its retailers to accommodate the needs and requirements of its Chinese guests. Such accommodations include a Mandarin brochure, shopping guide and property factsheet, as well as support from more than 50 Chinese-speaking retail staff.
With more than 100 retailers and 30 dining outlets, The Galleria on Al Maryah Island is one of the symbols of Abu Dhabi’s future. Merging the success of international brands and experiences with signature hospitality indigenous to the United Arab Emirates, The Galleria provides a truly unique lifestyle experience in the heart of Abu Dhabi’s up and coming district, Sowwah Square on Al Maryah Island.
