Digestive Disease, Surgical Subspecialties, Neurological, and Anesthesiology Institutes Now Accepting Patients
Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, part of Mubadala’s network of world-class healthcare facilities, today announced the opening of services in four more Institutes, which are the Digestive Disease, Surgical Subspecialties, Neurological and Anesthesiology Institutes. Additionally, the Medical Subspecialties Institute is now taking appointments for all services.
The Digestive Disease and Neurological Institutes are two of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s five Centers of Excellence, designed to address the most pressing healthcare needs in the UAE.
The Digestive Disease Institute offers services in gastroenterology and hepatology, general surgery, and colon and rectal surgery to treat disorders of the gallbladder, pancreas, esophagus, stomach, liver, small intestine and colon. The Neurological Institute is initially seeing patients for general neurology, spine conditions, neuromuscular disorders, sleep disorders and epilepsy. Together with the Anesthesiology Institute, the Neurological Institute also provides pain management services.

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi complements the current healthcare landscape in Abu Dhabi by focusing on highly-specialized care for heart, brain, digestive, eye and respiratory conditions. By the end of May 2015, the hospital will provide most of its complex and critical care services designed to address some of the specific health challenges affecting Abu Dhabi and UAE patients. The Emergency Department will be the final service to open by May 31, 2015.
Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi will not offer orthopedics, obstetrics, gynecology services, or treat patients under the age of 14 with the exception of the Eye Institute, and will not be a trauma center.
