Bayanat for Mapping and Surveying Services LLC (Bayanat), wholly owned by Mubadala, the Abu Dhabi-based investment and development company, will be displaying its advanced portfolio of end-to-end and customized geospatial data products and services at Dubai Airshow 2013, held between November 17 and  21, 2013 at Dubai World Central.

Bayanat has delivered various geospatial services to the UAE Armed Forces (UAEAF) under their strategic partnership agreement, which was signed by both parties three years ago, and will showcase these projects at the event. The company has supported the UAEAF’s strategic and tactical initiatives by providing them with topographic, hydrographic and aeronautical products and charts, as well as spatial data surveying, analysis, management, modeling, visualization and cartography.

Moreover, Bayanat has been continuously updating different thematic layers at the entire UAE level that include Urban Areas, Navigable Road Network and Digital Terrain Models (DTM) in its National Topographic Database – the most comprehensive database of its kind in the country. This is in fulfillment of the UAEAF’s rigorous requirements across an array of strategic fields and tactical geospatial applications.

Khaled AlMelhi, CEO, Bayanat, commented:

“This year’s Dubai Airshow is of major significance due to its distinctive venue at Dubai World Central, a pioneering development that lights the way forward for the UAE’s aerospace-driven future. The event will be an ideal platform for Bayanat to showcase our advanced technologies and services, and how they have played major roles in supporting key areas including the aerospace and defense industries, the public sector, and emergency response. We will also highlight some of our top priorities and major milestones such as our full support for Emiratization and the fulfillment of our contractual obligations to the UAE Armed Forces.”

Bayanat will display a range of products and services supporting the aerospace industry, including Technical Pilot Charts (TPC), Joint Operation Graphical (JOG), High Resolution Ortho Images Digital Terrain Models (DTM), Topographic & Base Maps, and various geospatial thematic data sets and layers. Bayanat will attend the exhibition at Mubadala’s stand, alongside fellow subsidiaries, including AMMROC (Advanced Military Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul Center), Strata, Yahsat, Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies (ADAT), Horizon International Flight Academy, Sanad Aero Solutions, Piaggio Aero and SR Technics.

The 2013 Dubai Air Show is expected to attract 1,000 exhibitors from around the world along with 60,000 trade visitors and up to 1,500 international and regional media. The biennial event is considered to be the fastest growing air show in the world.

Bayanat is an offshoot of the partial commercialization of the UAE Armed Forces Military Survey Department. Its comprehensive geospatial services portfolio includes Geodesy, Field & Hydrographic Surveying, Aerial Survey and Image Processing, Cartography and Visualization,  Spatial Data Management, and Printing Services.
