AMMROC & Eurocopter announce initial delivery to UAE Joint Aviation Command (JAC) of overhauled Eurocopter AS565 aircraft

Delivery further establishes AMMROC as the regional provider of choice for military aviation MRO services across rotary platforms

AMMROC (Advanced Military Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Center) LLC and Eurocopter have successfully completed the overhaul, modification, and delivery of the first Eurocopter AS565 (PANTHER) aircraft to the UAE Joint Aviation Command (JAC).

AMMROC, a joint venture company owned by Mubadala, the Abu Dhabi based investment and development company, Sikorsky Aerospace Services, and Lockheed Martin made the announcement with Eurocopter during Dubai Airshow 2013 held between  17th - 21st November at Dubai World Central.

The delivery of this aircraft demonstrates the support of this major overhaul and modification to the UAE JAC AS 565 fleet. This achievement highlights the cooperation between AMMROC and Eurocopter in their joint efforts to provide an in-country solution to the JAC, a capability that could only be previously sourced from abroad. The successful overhaul and modification of this aircraft reinforces AMMROC’s vision to operate a world class facility providing self-sustaining, commercially viable platform solutions to the UAE Armed Forces.

Operators of Eurocopter’s Naval Panther/Dauphin helicopter family include the U.S. Coast Guard, which has a total of 102 H-65 versions in its inventory, performing duties from rescues at sea and recovery at high-altitude mountainous terrain, to armed interception/interdiction of vessels at sea and airborne protection of the Washington, D.C. capital region.  There are 19 other countries with the Panther/Dauphin helicopters in their naval and coast guard services, including France, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Korea, Chile, UAE, Morocco, Israel, Argentina, Mexico,Malaysia and Bulgaria.
