Residents and visitors to Abu Dhabi will come together to celebrate the 43rd UAE National Day on Al Maryah Island, the Central Business District (CBD) at the heart of the capital. Between November 27th and December 7th, the island will host a variety of engaging activities including entertaining performances, photo exhibitions and traditional arts and crafts for the whole family to enjoy.

Activity: Mansour show
Location: Al Maryah Island Promenade

The fun will begin with a visit from Mansour and his friends, the much-loved Emirati cartoon characters, who will entertain children and families on the Al Maryah Island Promenade in 25-minute interactive live shows at 6:00 pm (Arabic), 7:30 pm (English) and 8:30 pm (Arabic) between November 27th and December 1st. The shows for little ones will feature Mansour’s latest adventures, blending comedy and meaningful storylines revolving around the heritage and values of the UAE.

Activity: Meet and greet with Emirati social media sensation and comedian Bin Baz
Location: The Galleria on Al Maryah Island
Timings: 8:00 pm, 9:00 pm
Date: November 27th – November 28th
On November 27th and 28th, visitors will also have the chance to participate in a meet and greet session with Emirati social media sensation and comedian Abdulaziz bin Baz, who utilises modern day digital tools to shed light on socio-economic issues and present them in comedy-wrapped broadcast. Guests will have the opportunity to meet Abdulaziz Bin Baz, also known Bin Baz, and have their photo taken with him between 8:00 pm and 9:00 pm.

Between December 1st and 3rd, residents and visitors can learn about the UAE’s culture, traditions and cuisine on the Al Maryah Island Promenade and Sowwah Square’s podium level with an array of traditional activities and performances presented by First Gulf Properties and Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Emirati dances, an Al Harbiah band, traditional tents, henna artists, a perfume corner, falconry shows, and Arabic calligraphy will evoke memories of times past. Children will be entertained by characters from popular Emirati cartoon Freej, and there will be exciting competitions and giveaways.

The Galleria on Al Maryah Island is set to showcase a pioneering art exhibition from December 1st – 7th. Art and design fans can enjoy a creative journey around the Fahad Art Exhibition, which will display an impressive collection of graphic designs from one of the UAE’s most innovative Emirati artists, Fahad Jaber Abdulla.
