Sociedad Minera de Santander, or Minesa, is a Colombian gold company focused on developing a world-class underground mining operation.

Sociedad Minera de Santander, or Minesa, is a Colombian gold mining company focused on the development  of the Soto Norte project in the Province of Santander in north-central Colombia. 

It is one of the most significant undeveloped gold resources in South America.

The Soto Norte project is currently in development stage, producing the technical, environmental and financial studies required for the development of a world-class underground gold mining project.  Once fully operational, the Soto Norte Project has the potential to make a significant contribution to Colombia’s mining sector and will operate at global best practice standards.

Mubadala took ownership of Minesa (previously known as AUX) in February 2015.
