The Diversified Investments platform is comprised of a number of integrated units that invest across a wide range of asset classes, geographies and sectors.

The platform is also home to Mubadala Capital, a wholly owned asset management subsidiary which manages c. $22 billion in aggregate between its own balance sheet investments and in third-party capital vehicles on behalf of institutional investors across four businesses: Private Equity, Brazil, Venture Capital, and Solutions.

Credit Investments

Mubadala’s Credit Investments team invests in private debt opportunities, focusing on direct lending to middle market and large cap companies across a variety of industries and asset classes in North America, Europe and Asia. Since its establishment in 2009, Mubadala’s Credit Investments team has invested in more than 500 transactions and has a solid and consistent track record.

Growth Investments

Building on Mubadala’s long track record of technology investing since 2007 and established network amongst top tier investors and partners globally, the Growth Investments unit focuses on equity investments in late-stage/high growth private companies. The Growth strategy focuses on Enterprise Software, Fintech and frontier technologies primarily in the US, Europe and the UK. The unit’s mission is to partner with visionary founders and funds building disruptive and enduring businesses, empowering them with Mubadala’s global reach, resources and capital.

Country Investment Programs

Commercially driven investment programs alongside select global counterparts, with the ultimate goal of expanding into new jurisdictions and creating unique commercial partnerships.

Special Opportunities

In addition to its mandate of investing in GP stakes and hybrid situations across the capital structure, the Special Opportunities unit also manages some of the Diversified Investments platform’s most sizable positions, optimizing the performance of these assets and identifying and executing on proprietary co-investment opportunities sourced from them.
