Mubadala’s Petroleum & Petrochemicals (P&P) platform companies are playing a key role in supporting the global response to combat the spread of COVID-19.

Dr. Alyazia Ali Al Kuwaiti, Executive Director of Upstream & Integrated at Mubadala P&P, highlights efforts by the platform’s operating portfolio companies to support local communities and create a positive impact amidst this global pandemic.

Jasem Al Nuaimi, Vice President, Upstream & Integrated highlights the vast efforts and initiatives in response to COVID-19 introduced by Mubadala Petroleum, a leading international oil and gas company.

In Malaysia, Mubadala Petroleum has supported a government hospital in Kuala Lumpur which manages COVID-19 patients, to fund instant water heaters for their medical staff (in 729 hospital beds), so they can shower soon after attending to patients in the newly converted COVID-19 isolation wards. Through this fund, MP Malaysia will provide 40 units of instant water heater including installation for the new 27 isolation wards for COVID-19 patients.

In southern Thailand, Mubadala Petroleum has enabled the purchase of medical monitoring equipment to ‘Saiburi Crown Prince Hospital’ to treat patients with critical cases.

In Bangkok, Mubadala Petroleum has donated 410 pieces of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to medical staff of the ‘Bamrasnaradura Infectious Diseases Institute’, in addition to donating fund to ‘Rajavithi Hospital’ to purchase essential medical equipment for COVID-19 patients.

In Indonesia, Mubadala Petroleum supported the ‘One Million Hand Sanitizers’ initiative and donated more than 1,000 hand-sanitizer kits to underprivileged residents and referral hospitals that treat COVID-19 patients in the local areas of East Kalimantan, South Kalimantan and West Sulawesi.

Moreover, Mubadala Petroleum has distributed over 4,000 of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to medical staff in six hospitals that handle COVID-19 patients located at Jakarta greater area, East Kalimantan, South Kalimantan and West Sulawesi.
