Imperial College London Diabetes Centre is taking essential steps to support the UAE’s fight against COVID-19.

Dr. Emad George, Medical Director, Consultant Endocrinologist and Diabetologist at the Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, highlights the center’s efforts in ensuring the safety of the community.

The Imperial College London Diabetes Centre is encouraging patients to avoid non-essential visits to the center and is delivering repeat prescriptions so that people avoid leaving their homes. The center is also triaging patients who arrive to its facilities.

The Centre is expanding its tele-consultations capacity to allow patients to connect with their healthcare providers, which ensures consistency of care without patients having to make unnecessary visits. The center has also been increasing its home pharmacy delivery support services for patients across the UAE.

Additionally, the Imperial College London Diabetes Centre has introduced home blood testing for patients in high risk groups as well as helping monitor their conditions. Moreover, flexible payment plans are being rolled out for patients that are not insured and self-pay. #WeAreDedicated.
