Mubadala to showcase its aerospace capabilities at Dubai Airshow 2013

10 Mubadala companies, from across the Aerospace, Communications Technology and Defense Services portfolio will participate at the Middle East’s leading aerospace event

Mubadala, the Abu Dhabi-based investment and development company, will once again have a significant presence at this year’s Dubai Airshow, the Middle East’s leading aerospace event, held between 17th- 21st November at Dubai World Central.  

Mubadala has recently combined its Aerospace, Communications Technology and Defense Services (ACTDS) business units to maximize the potential of their shared partnerships. The 21 businesses in the ACTDS portfolio incorporate international industry leaders and emerging domestic players with over 10,000 global employees. Together, these businesses contributed almost forty per cent of Mubadala’s revenues in H1 2013.

Mubadala will showcase 10 of its leading aerospace, communications technology and defense services-related subsidiary companies at the show, including Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies (ADAT), Advanced Military Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Center (AMMROC), Horizon International Flight Academy, Strata Manufacturing, Nibras Al Ain Aerospace Park, Piaggio Aero, SR Technics, Sanad Aero Solutions, Al Yah Satellite Communications Company (Yahsat) and Bayanat for Mapping & Surveying Solutions (Bayanat).

With Emiratization at the heart of their development strategies, the companies are committed to creating over 11,000 jobs for UAE Nationals. By offering unrivalled training and career opportunities, Mubadala is supporting the development of the next generation of Emirati scientists, engineers and technicians. These initiatives will be complemented by the development of Mubadala’s Research and Development capabilities, which will have an annual spend of over $10m by 2015 through collaborative projects with academic institutions and partnerships with OEMs
