IPIC supports Ataya 2014 as a Strategic Sponsor

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, opened Ataya, an annual charity exhibition, organized by the Red Crescent Authority (RCA) under the patronage of the wife of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region and President of the RCA, Sheikha Shamsa bint Hamdan Al Nahyan; Assistant to the RCA President for Women's Affairs. 

Proceeds from the 2014 Fair, in its third edition, will help settle inmates' outstanding financial debts and provide assistance to their families. In an attempt to create a new concept of giving, Ataya Exhibition adopts a unique approach that blends charity work with higher quality, higher end shopping.

Sheikha Shamsa said the initiative to settle the debts of inmates would give them a new lease of life and help them to reintegrate in the community, as well as to remove the psychological, social and economic consequences faced by their families.

Khadem Al Qubaisi, Managing Director of IPIC, said, “IPIC’s support as Strategic Sponsor for Ataya is a reflection of our commitment to championing initiatives focused on Emirati traditions, culture, and heritage. IPIC’s motto is “Empowering Our Future”, a fitting tribute to this year’s event, which, in cooperation with Emirates Red Crescent, aims to raise money for the Faraj Fund and enable those affected by financial debt to rebuild their lives.”

A total of 57 exhibitors from the UAE and abroad showcased a unique and diverse range of fashion collections, handicrafts, jewelry and household accessories.

Ataya, means "giving" in Arabic.
