Mubadala Petroleum was established as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mubadala in 2012, incorporating and building on the success of Mubadala's Oil & Gas business unit.
It manages assets and operations at all stages of the upstream value chain, with primary focus on exploration and production in the eastern hemisphere. In 2016, Mubadala Petroleum produced 320,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, on a working interest basis, across a global portfolio.
As well as major projects like Dolphin Energy, and enhanced oil recovery in Oman, Mubadala Petroleum operates offshore exploration, development and production assets in Southeast Asia. With three producing fields in operation in Thailand, Mubadala Petroleum is the country’s second largest crude oil operator in the Gulf of Thailand.
